• For the first time, Alpenglow’s forecasts are powered by its own proprietary model.
• This means more reliable predictions, faster improvements, and the freedom to build features that weren’t possible before. This is a huge step for the app and lays the foundation for where Alpenglow goes next.

INTERACTIVE FORECAST MAPS
• Explore sunrise and sunset predictions directly on the map.
• Pan around your region, zoom in on areas you care about, and quickly see where conditions look best. Whether you’re planning something local or chasing light further afield, this makes it much easier.

FORECAST MAP WIDGETS
• Forecast maps now come to your Home Screen.
• The new map widgets show forecasts over your location with customizable zoom levels, so you can choose the view that works best for you.

7-DAY EXTENDED FORECASTS
• Plan further ahead with forecasts up to a full week in advance.
• Perfect for scouting shoots, planning trips, or just keeping an eye on the sky.

A REDESIGNED MAP EXPERIENCE
• The map experience has been reworked across the app.
• Smoother controls, a cleaner interface, and easier switching between forecast and sun direction modes make it more powerful and more enjoyable to use.

SUN ALIGNMENT IN AR
• One of my favorite additions.
• Point your phone at any spot between the sun paths in AR, and Alpenglow will tell you the date and time the sun aligns with that position. A whole new way to scout compositions and plan ahead.
