Capo Arranger

Find a capo position for the whole song, not just one chord. Capo Arranger ranks shape sets for your Songboard while keeping the sounding harmony, sections and beat counts unchanged.

1. Open Studio and choose or create a Songboard. Use Arrange whole song with capo in the toolbar.
2. Compare capo frets 0–7 by default, or adjust the range up to fret 9.
3. Select an option and read the sounding chord, played shape and six-string fingering for every event. Frets are relative to the capo.
4. Share the complete arrangement as text with the original section and beat context. Your saved Songboard is not edited.

Standard EADGBE tuning only. Shapes are checked against each sounding chord pitch class and the supported fret range. Ranking uses a beat-weighted effort heuristic, not a guarantee of comfort. Try the shapes on your instrument and check tuning after fitting a capo. An unavailable shape is disclosed rather than substituted.

Songboard Studio turns live or manually entered chords into complete, locally saved charts. Organize sections and beats, infer the key, view roman numerals, transpose an entire arrangement, rehearse against synchronized timing, duplicate charts, and share clean text versions.

This release also brings a sharper five-tab layout, stronger text contrast, larger supporting labels, compact iPhone controls, a dedicated iPad songbook sidebar, and unified theory tools for progressions, scales, and capo planning.

This update sharpens the interface: the iPad layout now uses a centered, comfortable reading width instead of stretching edge to edge, so every screen reads as a clean column. iPhone is unchanged; still fully on-device.
