An Apple Watch app, NowThis Pro, and five new languages.
APPLE WATCH
- Today on your wrist — the watch app opens to today's and overdue tasks, pushed live from your iPhone. Tap a task to complete it; the check happens instantly on the watch and syncs back through your phone.
- Browse your lists — Smart Lists (Today, Overdue, Upcoming, All) and every list of your own, with live counts. Drill into any of them and complete tasks from there.
- Complications — a circular remaining-today count, a rectangular next task with its due time, and an inline count, for your watch face or the Smart Stack.
- Voice quick-add — dictate a task from your wrist ("buy milk tomorrow at 5pm"). It is created on your iPhone with the title and due date parsed, then synced to your server.

- Buying Pro is a direct way to support its continued development.
- Browsing your tasks on Apple Watch and using the complications are free. NowThis Pro — a one-time purchase, no subscription — unlocks checking tasks off and adding them by voice from the watch.
- Restore Purchases is in Settings, for a device you have bought on before.
- NowThis has no ads and no tracking.

NOW IN GERMAN, SPANISH, FRENCH, ITALIAN AND DUTCH
- The whole app, the widgets, the Apple Watch app and its complications.
- A collection of tasks is now called a List everywhere — it used to be a "Task List" on some screens and a "calendar" in two sync errors. A finished task is Completed everywhere, and "Done" now means only the button that closes a sheet.
- Menus stop showing internal identifiers. Sort options, Smart Lists, filter fields and recurrence presets were displaying values stored on disk. They now show a separate label — nothing stored has changed, which is what makes translating them safe.
- Translations are made by AI as part of building the app. Nothing you write is ever sent to an AI service. The app explains this once in each language, and the explanation stays in Settings with a link to report a bad translation.

BUG FIXES
- Version numbers now say when a release was made — 26.8 is August 2026, and 26.8.1 is a fix later that month.
- "Repeat Hourly Until Completed" now stops when the task is done. Completing or deleting a task left its hourly reminder running, and there was no way to stop it short of turning off notifications for NowThis entirely.
- Saved priority filters keep working. A priority rule stored the word shown on screen, which is about to be a different word in five languages.
- Focus filters select lists instead of matching typed list names, so translating the default list names cannot break them.
- Completed tasks sync correctly on Buddhist and Japanese calendars, where the sync window check was silently failing.
- Completed tasks are hidden from the calendar's day view when "Show Completed Tasks" is off.
- Removing a second account no longer creates a second Recovered Tasks list.

A big update focused on faster entry, add by voice, rock-solid Nextcloud sync, smarter due dates, and more! — hourly nag reminders, swipeable Board lists, editable list names/colors, reorderable sidebar, clearer sync errors, and crash fixes:
Add tasks faster
- Single tap to add — Tap any blank area of a list to pop the keyboard and start typing, just like Apple Reminders. Press return to add and keep going.
- Inline quick add on every list — A text field pinned at the bottom of each list for rapid, back-to-back entry. Tap expand for priority, tags, and more.
- New tasks stay where you add them — Add a task in Today and it's due today; add it to a list and it joins that list. No more tasks vanishing into the inbox. An editable chip shows exactly what will be applied.
- Smart new-task defaults — Set an app-wide default due date (None, Today, Tomorrow, Next Week), or give each list its own default. Set a default due time too (9:00 AM by default).

Add tasks by voice
- Dictate one sentence to Siri — Say "Hey Siri, quick add to NowThis," then speak naturally: "buy milk tomorrow at 5pm." NowThis parses the title and the due date/time and reads back a confirmation.
- Understands "today," "tomorrow," "next Friday," "in 3 days," plus times like "at 5pm," "noon," and "midnight" — and the same natural-language parsing now works when you type into Quick Add.
- New Siri phrase — "Add a reminder in NowThis" alongside the existing task commands.

Reliable two-way sync with Nextcloud
- Server changes always reach your device and widget — New tasks, edits, completions, and reorders made on the server (or another device) now appear automatically without relaunching the app.
- Manual ordering truly round-trips — Drag to reorder in NowThis and it shows up in the Nextcloud Tasks web app, and vice-versa. Editing a task no longer disturbs its position.
- Subtasks sort and reorder under their parent, honoring your chosen sort with manual drag-to-reorder.
- Faster first sync — Fresh installs now sync the last 3 months of completed tasks by default (configurable); active tasks always sync regardless of age.
- Plain-language sync errors — A clear banner explains sign-in, connection, permission, and temporary server problems, with a tap to jump to Settings.

Smarter sorting & display
- Your chosen sort option and direction now stick across launches.
- Completed tasks stay at the bottom in every sort mode; new tasks appear at the top.
- Every due date shows a time slot — timed tasks show a clock time; all-day tasks read "· All day."
- All-day due dates show the correct day — fixed a timezone bug that showed the wrong day and a phantom time.
- All Day toggle in the task editor — flip a task between all-day and a specific time, preserving the chosen day.

More reminders & customization
- Hourly nag reminders — "Repeat Hourly Until Done" for tasks you can't afford to miss.
- All-day reminders fire at a configurable time of day (9:00 AM default) instead of end of day.
- Board tab: swipeable Lists mode — swipe through your lists one at a time.
- Edit list names & colors, reorder and hide sidebar sections, a global Show/Hide Completed toggle, and an Open App To startup-screen setting.
- The Repeat option is now always visible in Task Details.

Bug fixes
- The Board (Kanban) view no longer crashes when a task is deleted during sync.
- Tasks no longer vanish from Today when created there.
