Free to try for 7 days, then one payment — no subscription, no ads.

One Add per meal, typed rows you can edit, and exercise in your order

• One Add per meal opens the search. Pick a food, or type your own entry: the keyboard button in the toolbar beside the barcode scanner, or the “Enter calories for …” button that appears above the keyboard as you type, with the name already filled in
• A typed row is a row like any other: tap it to change its name, calories or macros. Recent names come up as chips while you type
• Match a typed row to a real food: from its edit sheet, choose Match to a food… and pick one. Your calories stay and the portion is worked out for you
• Exercise rows in your order: hold a row and drag it, or choose Reorder from the section's ⋯ menu
• The Calories field on a food row draws the same box as the amount, so it reads as editable before you tap it
• Fixed: a logged template put its rows in a random order instead of the template's
• Fixed: a typed entry reached Apple Health only after it was edited; it is saved on logging now
Ver 1.19.1 2026-09-14
Fold the Exercise section, and a calculator on the exercise sheet

• The Exercise section folds like a meal: tap its heading, and the day's credit stays on it while it is folded
• Every meal is a card: its name, calories and macros sit inside it, so a folded day reads as a stack of cards
• Sections start the way you want: Profile → Appearance → Log sections, Expanded or Collapsed. A tap still opens or closes one heading for the day
• Calories burned and Minutes on the exercise sheet have the calculator key beside Done, for sums like 20+15
• Reports scrolls smoothly: its cards are kept as you scroll, and the 3- and 6-month charts are lighter
• Coming back to Tare is smooth: the screen is drawn first, and the housekeeping waits its turn
• Fixed: on iOS 26, the second row of suggested exercise names could not be tapped while the keyboard was up
Ver 1.19.0 2026-09-12
Exercise counts, and rows in your order

• Exercise raises your day's budget. Profile → Exercise credit, three modes: Off, Activity (the Apple Watch surplus, as before) and Exercise, where every session counts in full — sessions you type, and workouts from Apple Health. A typed session is saved to Health as a workout
• Type the calories you want on any food row and the portion follows. The calculator key works there too, for sums like 300+150
• Rows in your order: hold a row or a template and drag it within its meal, or choose Reorder from the row's long-press menu or the meal's ⋯ menu. A template's own items reorder the same way
• Reports is the third tab, with today's expenditure and the weekly review at the top. Your targets moved to Profile → Goals
• Labels read at arm's length in light mode too: captions, meal names and the water card are darker on white
Ver 1.18.0 2026-09-11
• Import a recipe from a link on the internet: Foods → Recipes → + → Import from Link. Tare reads the ingredients, matches each to a food and weighs the amounts. Pages in English, Spanish, Polish, Russian and Ukrainian
• Scan a barcode on the Foods tab to keep a product without logging it
• A calculator on the amount keyboard: type 320 − 140 and Use puts the result in the field
• Quick Add sits beside Add food in every meal
• The log opens on today after a night on the previous day
• Water and body can use their own units: grams for food, fl oz for water, lb on the scale
• Changes made on another device show up within seconds
• Fixes: the free trial unlocks the app as soon as the purchase sheet closes, deleting a meal category by swipe no longer crashes, and portion weights are per one unit
Ver 1.17.0 2026-09-10
Coffee and a drink, counted

• Tare is now free to try for 7 days. After that, one payment unlocks it for good — no subscription, ever. If you already bought Tare, you keep everything and nothing changes

• Caffeine and alcohol are tracked nutrients. Searched foods bring them from USDA and Open Food Facts, your own foods and recipes take them, and both are written to Apple Health — caffeine as caffeine, alcohol as standard drinks of 14 g
• Choose what the Log tab's calorie card shows: Profile → Appearance → Log Card Nutrients. Up to six, in your order — caffeine, alcohol, or any vitamin or mineral
• Alcohol counts toward calories at 7 per gram, so a glass of wine no longer reads as almost nothing
• Foods you searched before pick up their caffeine and alcohol from the built-in database, so the next time you log one the numbers are there
• Limits, not only targets. Caffeine, alcohol, saturated fat, trans fat, cholesterol and sodium each have a cap you can set in Goals. A limit bar fills toward the cap and turns red past it, never green
• Coffee, tea, milk, juice and soda count toward your water at their real water content. Anything with alcohol counts nothing
• Your drinks on the water card. Add coffee, Pepsi or juice as a drink, log it with one tap, and the card counts its water and its calories together. Expand the card to see where today's water came from
• Reports gets shorter: your pinned nutrients first, then what is behind or over, and the rest behind Show all
Ver 1.16.0 2026-09-06
Your foods, kept and shared

• Share a recipe, a template or a food — or your whole My Foods, Recipes or Templates list — with another Tare user as a file over AirDrop, Messages or Files. What's new is imported; what's already there is skipped
• My Foods now keeps the foods you use, not only the ones you made. Tap a searched food in the Foods tab, check its nutrition, tap Add — nothing is logged
• Kept foods rank with your own in the Log tab's search, offline too, and sit beside Favorites and Recent before you type
• Long-press anything in the daily log to share it
Ver 1.15.0 2026-09-05
Log without opening Tare

• Water from a Home Screen widget: two quick-add buttons, and today's total updates on the spot
• Supplements from a widget: today's checklist, one tap each. A widget can show a single timing group, so morning and evening can sit side by side
• Water from your Apple Watch: the same two buttons as the daily log. A tap reaches your iPhone in under a second; out of range, it's delivered once the phone is back
• Supplements on the watch: a tap marks the supplement taken on your iPhone and in Apple Health, exactly as in the app
• Your fast at a glance: a Fasting page on the watch with the timer, your target, progress and body stage, and “Goal reached” once you pass it
• The calorie complication now opens the watch app on Today

Also

• Tare speaks Spanish: the whole app, food search and the App Store listing
• A freshly installed watch app asks your iPhone for today's numbers right away and says “Waiting for iPhone” until they arrive
Ver 1.14.1 2026-09-02
• Supplement reminders now skip a day you've already finished — check off everything in a group before its reminder fires, and that day's alert stays quiet. It's back the next day.
• Minor wording fixes.
Ver 1.14.0 2026-09-01
• Custom foods can now include water - soups and shakes count toward hydration, even inside recipes and templates
• Give any food, recipe or template its own icon - pick a symbol and color, with a catalog of 4,900 symbols
• Icons show in your daily log too, including recipes and template groups
• Pick your own protein, carbs and fat colors - they follow you into the widget and onto your watch
• Fixed: Cancel and Save were invisible in light mode when editing a meal category
Ver 1.13.0 2026-08-29
Tare in your language

Tare now speaks Ukrainian, Polish, and Russian - the whole app, not just the front page. Every screen, sheet, alert, and empty state, down to the units beside your macros.

• It opens in your iPhone's language. Install it on a Polish phone and Tare is Polish from the first screen
• Want a different one? Profile → Language & Region. The app changes as you tap, with no relaunch
• Already using Tare in English on a Russian, Ukrainian, or Polish phone? Nothing moves under you. Tare asks once whether you'd like to switch, and takes no for an answer
• New to Tare? Choosing your language is the first screen, before anything else

Numbers that look right

Decimals, dates, and units follow the language, not just the words - 72,5 kg rather than 72.5, and counts that agree with their number the way Slavic languages need them to.

Everywhere else Tare shows up

Your widgets, Lock Screen fasting timer, Apple Watch, and reminders all speak the same language the app does. Your meal categories and supplement timing groups translate with it, while anything you typed yourself stays exactly as you wrote it.

Bug fixes

• Renaming a supplement timing group left its reminder announcing the old name. It now says what the group says
• The Other section - the one that appears when a supplement logs food into your day - kept the language it was created in after you changed languages
• Foods whose label counts fiber the European way could show negative carbs. The math now follows the label, and older entries correct themselves
• Some long-cached foods showed vitamin D far too high. They now check themselves against the app's built-in reference data and correct on launch
