Grainsmith Fieldはどんなアプリ？
Grainsmith Fieldは、録音した音や読み込んだ素材を粒状に分解して変化させるグラニュラー楽器です。
素材を粒子へと分解し、引き延ばしたり散らしたりすることで元の音とは異なる質感へ変えられます。三つの再生ヘッドを同時に動かせるため、一つのサンプルから重なり合う音の層を作り出せます。LFOや周期的なパターンによる自動変化を割り当てられるので、手動では難しい複雑な動きを自動で作り出せます。外部機器からの入力をリアルタイムで加工したり、録音したフレーズを加工して独自の音の風景を作り出したりする機能が入っています。

録音した音や取り込んだ素材を粒状の粒子へと分解します。引き延ばしたり散らしたりする操作で元の素材とは異なる独特な質感へ変えられます。
三つの再生ヘッドによる重層的な響き
一つのサンプルから三つの独立した粒の流れるラインを同時に動かせます。それぞれのヘッドに異なる速度やピッチを割り当てて、厚みのある音の層を重ねて鳴らします。
自動変化による複雑な動きの生成
LFOや周期的なパターンを操作系に割り当てられます。手動では難しい細かな変化を自動で加えるため、複雑な動きを伴う音の風景を作り出せます。
外部機器からの入力をリアルタイムで加工
外部機器からの入力をそのまま粒状に分解して加工できます。演奏を録音しながらその場で音を崩したり、特定のフレーズをループさせて変化させたりする使い方ができます。

STRETCH MODE
Stretch is a new way to play a sample. Turn it on in Settings and Field plays your sound back as a smooth time-stretch instead of a grain cloud, so Speed and Pitch move independently. Add a second or third playhead to play the sample as a chord. Loop points, Freeze and the waveform all follow it, and the setting saves with presets and host sessions.
NEW KEY-AWARE PITCH MODES
Key reads the pitch of your sample and lands each grain on a note of the key you choose. Note Mode sets what a grain does when the source changes note underneath it: Off keeps the pitch it started with, Hold stays on its note, and Sustain loops inside it. Both are marked Experimental while we keep tuning them.
MULTI-PLAYHEAD IMPROVEMENTS
With two or three playheads, the heads now trigger together. The new Stagger dial in the playheads panel spreads them back out across each grain. Presets you saved with several heads keep the spacing they had. Chord buttons at the bottom of the panel set up Minor, Major, Octaves, Fifths and Drone voicings in one tap.
MODULATION UPDATES
Pitch and Position are now available as modulation targets.

Live mode: grains no longer jump when the record head passes the play position.
Recording into a live loop used to move any grain the record head was about to overwrite. You heard that as the cloud lurching backward and then forward again each time the head swept past. Now the buffer crossfades underneath instead, so the sound morphs from what was already in the loop to what you are recording, and grains stay where you put them.
