What’s New
• W/B Toggle: Added a “W/B” toggle in the left panel (below the Hint button) that lets users choose who the computer plays.
• Default: Human plays White (computer plays Black).
• When switched to Black: The computer plays White and automatically makes the first move after a 2-second delay.
• Each time the toggle changes, the game resets to its initial state.
Visual Improvements
• Solid White Pieces: Updated the rendering of white chess pieces so they now appear as solid white silhouettes for better visibility and consistency.
• Specifically addressed a user-reported issue where white pawns appeared black in some environments. White pawns are now guaranteed to render as solid white.
• This is implemented by masking a white fill with the chess glyphs for white pieces, ensuring consistent solid rendering regardless of font behavior.
Gameplay and Logic
• Game Reset API: Added a resetGame() method to centralize the reset of board state, castling rights, en passant, and messaging.
