CINE WHITE BALANCEはどんなアプリ？
CINE WHITE BALANCEは、現場の光をカメラの正確な設定値へ変換するツールです。
複数のカメラ機材に対応しており、光源から色温度や特定のカメラ用数値を直接導き出せます。レンズ越しに現在の露出を読み取って必要なNDフィルターの値を算出したり、特定の色を再現するためのカラーフィルターを選定したりする機能も備わっています。太陽の位置から予測される光の状態をあらかじめ把握できるため、撮影場所での準備がスムーズに進みます。
複数のカメラを使い分ける現場で、機材ごとに異なる数値を瞬時に合わせたい場面に向いています。制作の現場で正確なカラー設定を追求する映像制作スタッフや、屋外での撮影で光の変化に対応しなければならない撮影監督に便利です。

CINE WHITE BALANCEの注目ポイント

目の前の光の状態を読み取り、カメラのメニューで入力する正確な数値へ変換します。抽象的な数値を追いかける手間がなくなり、機材の操作に集中できるため撮影の準備が捗ります。

Version 5 is the biggest update since launch. Five new tools, all built on
the meter you already have.
GELS
Measure a source, and the app tells you what to put in front of it. Pick a
target - 3200K, 5600K, or anything between - and it returns the gel from the
LEE or Rosco book that gets you closest, where the light lands, and what it
costs you in stops.
Match mode does the harder job. Meter the window, meter the practical, and
it gives you the gel that makes the second match the first. Mixed daylight
and tungsten interiors, solved on the spot.
PREDICTED COLOUR
What the light will be, where you are going, before you get there. Exact sun
geometry for any place and any time, narrowed by cloud cover from the
forecast. Drop a pin on the map or jump to where you are standing.
Already on location? Anchor the prediction to your live reading, and the app
models only the change from it.
THE DAY
Every reading from a shoot day, plotted against the sun that produced it.
Colour temperature on a mired axis over night, blue hour, golden and full
sun. A jump in the trace where the sun did not move is a lighting change
somebody made - visible on the day, not in the grade.
FRAMING
52 sensor formats from ARRI, Sony, RED, Blackmagic, Canon and Panasonic,
with recording modes listed separately rather than averaged. 18 delivery
ratios including 4:5 and 9:16. Angle of view for any lens, and the exact
pixel dimensions for your timeline at 8K through 720p, with even, mod-8 and
mod-16 rounding.
SUN TRACKER
The sun's path over the live camera, with sunrise, sunset, golden hour and
shadow length for any date and place. Set a horizon angle for a valley or a
building and the times move with it.
SCENE REPORTS
Export a day as CSV or PDF. Every reading now carries where it was taken and
where the sun was standing, alongside the stills, the rig settings and your
notes. Scenes shows it too - place and sun stage on every row.
SHOW ME AROUND
A guided tour that lights up each control in turn on the real screen, swipes
the console to the page it is describing, and walks you into the sun
tracker. Replay it any time from Info.

Version 4.1 is a massive leap forward, turning Cine White Balance into a true, live-reading exposure and ND calculator.
Updated UI to allow Display Zoom
• Live Advanced Exposure Calculator: We’ve tapped directly into the iPhone’s sensor to read real-time Scene EV. Set your target FPS, ISO, Shutter, and Iris, and the app will instantly calculate the exact light reduction needed.
• Cinema-Standard ND Suggestions: The calculator now outputs standard whole-number Filter Factors (ND4, ND8, ND64, ND128) alongside the exact decimal stop reduction (e.g., -6.8) so your AC knows exactly which glass to grab, and the DP knows exactly how to tweak the Iris.
• Direct Keypad Entry & Toggles: Say goodbye to rigid menus. Tap any exposure variable to pull up a custom number pad and punch in exact fractional frame rates, custom shutter angles, or native sensor ISOs. Includes instant toggles for T-Stop/F-Stop and Angle/Speed.
• Tactile EV Comp Bar: Added a sleek, horizontal segmented scale for rapid -3 to +3 exposure compensation adjustments on the fly.
• Streamlined Dashboard UI: Consolidated the paging console into three highly focused tabs. We also relocated the Hardware Profile badge to the top navigation bar to give the central Kelvin and Tint readouts maximum breathing room, and forced Dark Mode across all input keyboards to protect your eyes on dark sets.
