Quanta 2はどんなアプリ？
Quanta 2は、録音した音や読み込んだ素材を粒状に分解して操作するグラニュラーシンセサイザーです。
用意されたアナログ風のオシレーターやノイズ源を、粒の生成源として直接取り込めます。二つのフィルターを直列や並列で組み合わせるほか、粒の速度や高さ、方向といった要素を細かく制御できるため、複雑な音の風景を作り出せます。複数のエンベロープやＬＦＯによる変化を、各音に個別のモジュレーターで割り当てて変化させます。タッチ操作で波形を直接操作する機能も備わっています。
独自の質感を持つ音を追求したいクリエイターや、既存のサンプルを加工して新しい響きを見つけたい制作現場で頼りになります。複雑な設定を自動化するマクロノブを使いこなしながら、緻密な音作りを追求したい場面に合っています。

録音した音声や読み込んだ素材を細かな粒へと分解して操作します。元の素材をグラニュラーシンセサイザーとして加工し、独特の響きを生成できます。
粒の特性を細かく制御
粒の速度や高さ、移動する方向を個別に操作します。音の密度や広がりを微調整しながら、作りたい音の風景に合わせて細かな変化を与えられます。
アナログ風の音源とノイズ
波形を変えられるアナログ風のオシレーターやノイズ源が組み込まれています。これらを粒の生成源として直接取り込み、質感のある音を形にできます。
二つのフィルターの組み合わせ

Changes in v2.2.2
• iOS: the panel scrolls now. When a host hands Quanta a window shorter than the interface, everything below the top bar scrolls, so the lower panels are reachable instead of being cut off.
• Waveform display has a position indicator again. It follows the Position control and dragging on the waveform when not in Touch mode.
• Fix: the preset browser rebuilt its name cache every single time it opened, re-reading the entire library to do it. It now uses the cache it already wrote, so the browser and the plugin both open faster. (Attempt in v2.2.1 was not satisfactory; trying again.)

• Audio input recording. Quanta 2 now shows up as both an instrument and an effect. Load the effect version on any channel (AUM, apeMatrix, and friends), or use the instrument's sidechain in Logic Pro, and press the new record button: the input records straight into the sample buffer, up to ten seconds, drawing the waveform as it goes. The standalone app records from your microphone or interface.
• Sample trim. Drag the new start and end markers on the waveform and press TRIM to cut away silence or unwanted bits. UNDO TRIM brings the previous sample back if you change your mind.
• Filter section reworked. The slope switch and shape buttons are gone, replaced by a single Type menu with 22 entries: the original filters (for preset compatibility) plus state-variable, ladder, diode ladder, two Sallen-Key variants, and 8- and 12-pole allpass phase rotators. The filter graph now plots the actual response of whichever topology is active.
• Much faster loading in hosts, especially with large preset libraries; the preset library information is now cached.
