Moon Lunationはどんなアプリ？
Moon Lunationは、二千年から二千五十年の間の月相や潮の満ち引きを計算するアプリです。
月の満ち欠けや照らされている割合を特定できるため、特定の期間における月周期の変化を追えます。独自の計算式が端末内で動くため、通信環境に左右されず正確な予測を確認できます。有料版を選択すると、潮の満ち引きの予測グラフや太陽系を含む三次元の天体モデルを閲覧する機能が加わります。
月の満ち欠けをカレンダーで確認しながら月周期の変化を追いたいときや、特定の場所での潮の満ち引きを確認したい場面に向いています。天体観測の計画を立てる際に、正確なデータをもとに準備を進めたい人にも助けになります。

二千年から二千五十年の月相特定
二千年から二千五十年の期間であれば、過去や未来の特定の日の月の姿を特定できます。カレンダー上の日付を選ぶだけで、その日の月がどのような状態にあるかを表示します。
月の形状と照らされている割合
月がどれくらい満ちているかや、太陽の光を浴びて輝いている面積の割合を確認できます。正確な計算に基づいた数値が出るため、天体観測の記録をつける際に便利です。
月周期の変化を追う機能
新月から次の新月までのサイクルを時間軸で確認できます。指で操作して時間を進めると、月が満ち欠けを繰り返す過程を視覚的に捉えられるため、周期の変化を把握するのに適しています。
潮の満ち引き予測のグラフ表示
潮汐の予測データがグラフとして描かれます。海辺での活動を計画する際に、特定の地点における高潮や干潮のタイミングを視覚的に把握できるため、準備の際に役立ちます。

• Today's tide curve is set against the station's highest high and lowest low of the year, marked by dashed lines, with a line of text giving each with its date. You also get the next high and low tide and seven days of highs and lows, calculated on your device with no connection. About 1,250 stations around the United States and 37 around the UK and the Isle of Man, 2026 to 2030.
• Keep up to five favourite places. On iPhone and iPad, Tides can find the nearest station from your location; on Mac, you choose a city.
• A more natural Moon in Today, Calendar and Cycle, on iPhone, iPad and Mac: light that falls off toward the terminator, a soft edge between light and dark, and a faint earthshine on the unlit side.
• Moon phases never use your location. On iPhone and iPad, only after you allow it, Tides uses it to find the nearest tide station; the app does not save or send it.

Moon Lunation now shows the Moon where you already look: the Lock Screen, the Home Screen, StandBy while your phone charges, and Apple Watch.

SOLAR SYSTEM
The Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, the Moon and Mars in 3D, placed by the same offline astronomy the rest of the app uses. Drag to orbit, pinch to zoom, tap a body to centre on it and read its distance from the Sun and from Earth. Scrub the timeline and watch them move along orbits traced from real positions.
Planet surfaces and the starfield are original illustrations drawn for this app — schematic, not photographs.

PHASE TIMES ARE NOW COMPUTED
The old version read its phase times from a fixed table covering 1996 to 2010, and estimated the dates in between. That table ran out years ago.
This version calculates the Moon's position directly, from the geometry of the Sun, Earth and Moon, for any date from 1 January 2000 to 31 December 2050. The results are checked against NASA JPL's DE440 planetary ephemeris.
THE CITY LIST HAS BEEN REMOVED
The old version let you pick a city. That feature is gone, and so is location access entirely - the app no longer asks for your location and makes no network requests of any kind.
