A daily reading habit grows one short read at a time. To make each one more inviting, every topic now opens like a page from a magazine.

- Fresh topic pages: a full-width cover, Read and Listen side by side, and your chapters at a glance.
- A calmer reader: each chapter starts with a big first letter, like in old books, minus the dust. The buttons step aside while you read. Tap the page to bring them back.
- Always know where you are: “Chapter 2 of 4 · 40% done”, with the next chapter waiting at the end.
- Made for iPad: a comfortable reading column, and with your iPad turned sideways, the chapters sit right next to the text.
- Going back to reread an earlier chapter no longer resets your progress.

Plus small fixes along the way.

Smart reading is about minutes well spent, and this version makes sure your daily progress counts only those: the time you actually spend reading or listening.

- Daily progress: reading time now counts better while a topic is on your screen. Switch to another app, and the clock waits for you.
- Listening: audio still counts with your screen locked, so a walk with a topic in your ears still moves you toward your goal.
- Reminders: they now notice sooner that you’ve started reading, and adjust to match.

Smart reading is a daily habit, and this version keeps yours fresh: For You now serves new picks every time you come back.

- For You: recommendations reshuffle on each visit, and new topics show up in “You May Like” as soon as they’re published.
- Pick up where you left off: topics you started but didn’t finish can now come back in your recommendations.
- Your daily progress card speaks curiosity now: “Curiosity: still hungry” on the way, “Today’s curiosity: fed” once you hit your goal. We looked for a “full” setting. There isn’t one.
- New to Nerdish? Tell us when you like to read (morning coffee, commute, before sleep), and your reminder will match.
- Settings: rate Nerdish anytime, in one tap.

Every day is a chance to learn something new, and this version adds a new way to play with what you know.

- Links, a daily word game: find four groups of four words that share a theme. Every word comes from a Nerdish topic, and after each puzzle you can jump straight into the topics behind it. A new puzzle arrives every day, free to play. Find it in the new Play tab.
- Quiz, refreshed: a cleaner question screen and a new results page that shows your Nerdish level.
