Ver 2.0.0 2026-10-20
Art Today 2.0 is a new way to spend a minute with a masterpiece.
LOOK SLOWLY
• A guided minute with today's artwork: the camera drifts across the painting to the places your eye goes first, then pulls back to the whole.
• Optional music from Apple Music, chosen to suit the era of the artwork: classical, ambient and instrumental only.
FOUR MUSEUMS
• Your daily artwork now comes from The Met, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Cleveland Museum of Art and the Rijksmuseum. Pick which ones, the kind of art and the era in Settings.
• You won't see the same artwork twice until you've seen everything that matches.
GO DEEPER
• A new Details card shows where the work hangs (gallery number), its medium, size, credit line and a link to the museum's own page.
• Related works from the same collection, one tap away.
KEEP AND SHARE
• Tap the heart to build My Collection, with its own widget.
• Share an artwork as a card, save it to Photos or save it as a wallpaper.
• New daily reminder for when the day's artwork is ready.
APPLE VISION PRO
• See an artwork at its actual size, or step into a spatial scene.
Also new: a gentler welcome screen, refreshed widgets and many fixes to how artwork loads.
