Gaia GPSはどんなアプリ？
Gaia GPSは、地図データやルート情報を管理してアウトドア活動を支えるナビゲーションアプリです。
地形や道路の地図を端末に保存できるため、電波の届かない山奥でも現在地を確認しながら進めます。複数の地図を重ねて透明度を調整する機能があり、特定のルートを追いながら周囲の状況を把握することもできます。外部のファイルを取り込む操作もスムーズで、記録した軌跡や地点の情報を他のデバイスと同期して共有できます。位置情報が付与された写真を撮影すれば、後から思い出を振り返る際にも場所を特定しやすくなります。
山登りやサイクリングなど、正確な位置把握が必要な野外活動において心強い味方となります。あらかじめ計画したルートを地図上で確認しながら歩きたい時や、自分の移動距離を記録に残したい場面で助けになります。Apple Watchと連携して手元で情報を確認できるため、スマートフォンを取り出さずに周囲の状況を把握しながら探索に集中できます。

オフラインでの地図確認
地形や道路の地図を端末へ保存できるため、電波の届かない山奥などでも現在地を確認しながら歩けます。事前にデータを落とせば通信環境に左右されず安心して移動できます。
多層マップの重ね合わせ
複数の地図を重ねて不透明度を調整する機能があります。特定のルートを追いながら周囲の地形や空域の状況を同時に把握できるため、計画の立案に便利です。
軌跡の記録と写真撮影
移動したルートや地点を記録するほか、位置情報を付与した写真を撮影できます。どこで撮影したかが記録に残るため、後から思い出を見返す際に場所を特定しやすくなります。
外部データの取り込み
メールやクラウドを経由してGPXやKMLファイルを読み込めます。他のアプリで作成したルート情報をスムーズに取り込めるため、独自のルートをすぐに地図上に反映できます。
