Photographer's Ephemeris 3Dは、地形に合わせて太陽や月、天の川の動きを三次元で確認できるアプリです。
地表の起伏を再現した地図上で、時間や場所の変化による光の当たり方を正確に予測できます。特定の山の間から天の川が昇る瞬間や、谷が日陰に覆われる時刻をあらかじめ確認できるため、遠くの景色まで含めた撮影計画を立てられます。複数の地点をピンで保存して管理する機能もあり、現場へ行く前に光の移り変わりをシミュレーションできます。
他には見落としがちな光のチャンスを捉えたい風景写真家や、夜間の撮影計画を緻密に練りたい人にうってつけです。特定の地形と天体の位置関係を正確に把握したいとき、事前の下見の代わりにこのアプリで光の動きを追いながら構図を練ることができます。

地表の起伏を反映した光の予測
地表の凹凸を反映した地図上で、時間や場所をまたいで届く光の当たり方を予測できます。遠くの山々の影がどこに落ちるかまで正確に把握できるため、撮影前の計画がスムーズに進みます。
特定の地形から見える天の川の瞬間
特定の山の間から見える天の川の昇るタイミングを特定できます。山々の隙間から星空が顔を出す瞬間を見極めたい撮影家にとって、重要な情報を事前に把握できる仕組みです。
複数の地点を登録する計画管理
複数の地点をピンで保存し、撮影予定地を整理して管理できます。一度設定したピンの場所は次回の確認時も記憶されるため、複数の候補地を巡る際のスケジュール管理に役立ちます。
